As part of the Western Station project for Riyadh Metro Line 3, DEAL provided advanced technical consulting for the parametric and algorithmic modeling of the station’s complex architectural envelope.
The process involved the use of Grasshopper and specialized Visual Programming plug-ins, essential for optimizing the pannelization of GRC (Glass Reinforced Concrete) cladding modules.
This approach allowed for the geometric control of the structure, ensuring seamless integration between the steel framework and the façade panels, while also minimizing the number of custom modules to improve engineering and construction efficiency.
